Rose Ciardiello, R.N.

Rose received her nursing degree from the University of Bridgeport and then graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Bachelor’s of Science.  She is also certified in Psychiatric Nursing.   She worked as an R.N. at The Park City Hospital in Bridgeport, CT from 1986-1992 where she transitioned from staff nurse to Head Nurse within 2 years.  She then worked as a Nurse Manager in the Department of Psychiatry at Waterbury Hospital, in Waterbury, CT from 1993-1996.  At Waterbury Hospital, a multidisciplinary team approach to care was utilized and she developed and maintained an environment that supported the professional nurse and staff.  She left nursing to become a stay-at-home mom.

Rose is a Founding member of The Cancer Support Community Southern  Connecticut.  She lives in Guilford with her husband and 3 children.  She was first diagnosed with breast cancer at age 38 and is a 3 time breast cancer survivor.  She volunteers for her children’s school P.T.O., as well as breast cancer survivor groups
