Martinis and Massages Event Recap

Thank you for being a part of, what we hope to be, the first annual Cancer Support Community Southern Connecticut (CSC-SCT) Martinis & Massages fundraising event! I wanted to reach out personally to let you know how much I appreciate your taking the time to attend our fundraiser and also to comment on the generosity and kindness I experienced that evening. Please know you helped to make a positive difference in the lives of families, friends and neighbors living with cancer.

As I mentioned at the event, each and every one of us has been touched by cancer in some way. And as we go through that journey as a patient, a caregiver, a spouse, a neighbor, a sibling, a friend, a parent, a child and/or a loved one, our needs are special and unique, and those needs continue to change and evolve throughout our many situations and throughout our lifetime.

CSC-SCT’s mission is core to assisting each of us with coping with those needs by providing professional programs of emotional support, education and hope for people affected by cancer, at no charge to any and all participants, so that no one faces cancer alone. As I described, we are working diligently to open the first facility — and off-site capacity — of its kind in Connecticut, serving Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London Counties. We are targeting a timeline of mid-2014 to bring this amazing resource to Connecticut and looking forward to inviting you to our grand opening!

I hope you’ll consider attending our next event: A Celebration of Life and Hope on November 7th at the Waterview in Monroe, CT. I’ve attached a flyer with information about the gala. If you have any questions about the event, our organization or how you can get involved, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thank you again for your support!

With warmest regards,
